Let my 3rd expensive hobby begin...
At least this wasn't too bad...I'm planning on buying a new transmitter this summer for $450 :O

Hmm. I always wanted to collect helmets too... But those prices. For now I will stick to collecting elbow guards.

I've got to buy one of those before July....planning on a couple days at VIR. In the past I've been able to rent helmets. Guess it's time to man up.

I'm in the market for a new lid as well. My Shoei RF1100 is too heavy. I'm going for plain white this time, with a clear visor.

The helmet was only $125, so not terrible

You may have been the one who recommended it a while back when I asked

I was going to use a loaner but figured what the hey, for $125 or so might as well just get one. Hopefully I enjoy it...

Was that $125 for a Snell 2010?

So is this for racetrack shenanigans or motorcycle shenanigans?

Autocross. I don't need ANOTHER expensive hobby so I'm going to avoid motorcycles

That link has the word motorcycle in it...not good. Snell ratings for bikes are different, they don't have the same fire protection requirements, since the logic states that you'll get thrown from a bike, versus trapped in a car.

If it was DOT only it would say it. They claim Snell 2010 ratings, and someone in the reviews said they bought it for autox, so it is most likely legit. Motorcycle helmets can be Snell rater, just sometimes motorcycle riders like to cheap out on their head haha.
